Renovation & Expansion of Hughes Middle School

To bring it up to the standards of our STEAM Middle School campus, Hughes Middle School will be updated, renovated and expanded to accommodate student growth, and increase capacity for fine arts and athletics. While the history and character of Hughes Middle School will remain, the renovations will serve the needs of our students.

Construction of New Middle School

A replacement campus for Kerr Middle School will be constructed on land previously purchased by the district.

Repurpose Kerr Middle School

Portions of the existing Kerr Middle School that still have usefulness will be renovated and the portions that are no longer financially responsible for continued investment will be removed.

Multipurpose Facility & Improvements for Burleson High School

Based on community input, a new multipurpose indoor facility will be built to accommodate the growing number of students participating in extracurricular activities. The facility will allow athletes, band members and more to practice year-round, despite inclement weather.

Portions of available space at Burleson High School will be renovated and converted into collaborative learning areas to allow teachers to extend instructional and academic opportunities outside of the more traditional classroom setting.
